Stretches endurance over two days. Complete 1,500 miles in under 36 hours - balancing speed, navigation, and fatigue. Master weather shifts, terrain variations, and smart rest planning.

Before you start

You need your Full Throttle (Level 2) certification first. It must be certified, not just submitted.

Active Membership Required

Only approved WoB members with an active status can register and submit LDR attempts.

One Attempt at a Time

Complete or abandon your current attempt before starting a new one.

Level Prerequisites

L2 requires L1 certification, L3 requires L2, and so on. Must be certified, not just submitted.

How to ride it

Create Your Attempt

Register your bike, choose your level, and set your ride date in the WoB app.

Start Your Ride

Take a photo at your start location with your odometer. Your timer begins the moment you tap Start.

Add Stop Points

At least one mid-ride stop required. Each stop needs a location-tagged photo and odometer reading.

End Your Ride

Final odometer photo plus a completion selfie. Submit everything for admin review.

Admin Review

WoB admin verifies your evidence within 48 hours. You may be asked to clarify details.

Get Certified

Pay the certification fee and receive your official WoB LDR certificate with a unique number.

The ride rules

Continuous Ride

One continuous journey. Stops for fuel, food, and rest are fine - the clock never stops.

Single Motorcycle

Must complete the entire ride on the same motorcycle registered at the time of attempt.

Solo Riding

LDR is a solo challenge. Riding with a group is fine but your evidence must be yours alone.

Public Roads Only

All riding on public, legally accessible roads. Track time does not count toward distance.

Review and certification

48-Hour Review

Admin reviews submissions within 48 hours. You may be asked to provide clarification.

Certification Fee

A nominal fee applies per level. Payment is required before the certificate is issued.

No Appeals

Admin decisions are final. Fraudulent attempts result in permanent disqualification.

What is the King of the Road level?

King of the Road is Level 3 of the WoB Long Distance Riding (LDR) programme: ride 1,500 miles (2,415 km) in 36 hours or less on one motorcycle, with photo and odometer evidence recorded in the WoB app.

What do I need before I can attempt King of the Road?

You need your Full Throttle (Level 2) certification first. It must be certified, not just submitted. You must also be an approved WoB member with an active status, and you can only have one attempt in progress at a time.

Can I ride in a group?

LDR is a solo challenge. Riding with a group is fine, but your evidence must be yours alone.

How long does verification take, and what do I get?

The WoB admin reviews your ride within 48 hours and may ask you to clarify details. After you pay the certification fee, you receive a unique numbered WoB LDR certificate, a level badge on your WoB profile and a place on the Certified Riders roster.
